These special grapes thrive in the Southern Oregon climate and thanks to a warm year, the 2018 Tempranillo harvest was bountiful and resulted in a complex and rich wine. With decadent aromas of chocolate and coconut that delight the senses and an earthy undertone with hints of savory herbs, that will pair perfectly with autumnal dishes and chilly evenings. The subtle tastes of coffee, vanilla macadamia nut and soft cedar meld perfectly together for a robust finish and luscious finish.
Pair our 2018 Tempranillo with these thanksgiving crostini’s. Its heavy and bold body is matched with the creaminess of the brie and the slightly sweet but tart flavors in the cranberry sauce.
Tempranillo is the 3rd most planted grape in the world, with over 570,000 acres, and is roughly translated as “little early one”.
Aromas of nectarine, grapefruit and pear are complemented by hints of lemon and orange peel. Layers of mineral and earthy flavors that reflect where it is grown and make it ripe with complexity. Vibrant and refreshing on the palate, with a burst of acidity flowing through with a granny smith apple taste that lingers on the finish. This is a wine that reveals itself even more with an excellent food pairing.
The bright acidity of this Estate Dry Riesling helps balance the saltiness and savory fall flavors of this delicate pumpkin mac and cheese.
Riesling grape vines have a thicker brak than most making them ideal for growing in cooler climates.
Stunningly aromatic fruit-forward wine with notes of black berries, black currant, dried fruit and a dusting of black pepper. This dark fruit-driven and earthy wine is both complex and impeccably balanced. The palate is full and bursting with flavors of jam and marion berry that will only get better with age. Followed by a smooth musk that lingers on the back of the palate, leaving you wanting another sip
Our prestige Red Blend is the perfect sidekick to this Red Wine Lamb Burger. The rich flavors of the lamb help enhance a smooth tannic structure in the wine for a mouth-watering balance.
Red blends are prepared from a variety of red grapes and are usually crushed and fermented individually before any blending takes place.
Aromas of black currant, fresh coffee and pine needles meld together in a rich and pleasing bouquet and flavors of tart cherry, sweet tobacco and cloves flow along the palate in luxurious layers followed by robust tannins. The finish is long and filled with warming spice notes and the perfect pair with a cool evening and a cozy environment.
This Syrah is a perfect choice for this Osso Buco (slow-cooked beef or veal shanks) because of its refined tannins and intense notes of hearty black fruits. The Syrah helps balance the heaviness of the beef and while the beef brings out the richness in the wine.
Syrah should not be confused with Petite Sirah – an entirely different grape variety that is a cross between Syrah and Peloursin.
